How To Register

  • Online, Snail Mail, or Over the Phone:

You can register online, or if you prefer you can print out the registration form and either mail or fax it in. If you have questions, or would like to register by phone, call 800-304-8362.

After you register, you will need to provide proof of profession. For most, a website will suffice or you can fax proof to 800-517-6070. If you need to show your proof of profession onsite, don't forget to bring it. We will accept a studio check, a recital program with your picture, your business ID papers-anything that will verify you are a teacher. This is for your protection, as the show is "To The Trade Only" and is not open to the public. It is for Studio Owners and Dance Teachers only.

  • Confirmation:

If you pre-register (whether on line, phone, fax, or mail) you will get a confirmation packet in the mail. This packet will have your badges-be sure to bring them with you to the show. At the show, you will check in at the kiosk in the lobby. There you will receive your badge holders, your FREE UDMA tote bag and your show/vendor directory.

  • Late or Onsite Registration:

If you have not pre-registered, no worries, there is always room. Just be sure to bring your proof of profession so there are no questions at the registration kiosk. Don't worry if you bring more teachers than you originally planned-they can be added on.

Make Your First Time Fun, Easy and Memorable!

We want your first time at the UDMA Dance Resource & Costume Show to be fun, easy and memorable! But most of all, we want you to get the most out the experience. That's why we're giving you some great insider tips to make this your most productive day of the year!

Insider Tips:

  • Get a head start by attending the Teacher Appreciation Party (TAP) on Saturday night for drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a first look at the vendor booths.
  • Expand your knowledge by attending one of our Saturday seminars. These informative sessions are not free, but they geared specifically to the Dance Teacher and Studio Owner professional. (The list of seminars will be online as soon as it is available). There is a fee for the seminars TBD.

  • Look through the catalogs before you arrive and flag the items you want to see and get more information about.

  • Bring a small rolling suitcase so you can load up on fun stuff like catalogs, giveaways, and samples. Trust us, you’ll need it!
  • Avoid the crowds—start at the back of the exhibit hall and work your way forward.

  • Wear sneakers or other comfortable shoes, as you'll be on your feet all day.

  • Ask models to try on costumes so you can see how they look on a dancer. And don't be afraid to ask them to pirouette—we want you to get the full effect!
  • Bring cash for meals, snacks and coffee. Lunches usually include sandwiches and salads. Vegetarian options are available.

  • Many teachers collect catalogs, see samples and then go to the concession area for a bite to eat, work with their colleagues, make some choices, and then return to the booths for more information, or just take another peek.

  • Children under 16 and infants are not permitted.

  • There is a strict "no photography" policy to protect the models and the designs, so leave your cameras at home.

  • Not all vendors will be present in every city. Check the exhibitor list on our website carefully and often to make sure the vendor you want to see is in the city you plan on attending.

Can't wait to see you there!
