COVID-19 Update

To our UDMA Attendees,

Many of you are understandably concerned about whether or not our UDMA Trade Shows will be canceled or what sort of changes will be made for your protection. We want you to know that in response, we have been taking your questions seriously.

The UDMA board has spent the last month watching the COVID-19 situation in each trade show city, and has made several decisions to ensure we are offering the best for your dance studio.

With that, the board has decided to postpone the Virginia Beach show until 2021 and have added a show in Dallas for November 7-8th.

Our new UDMA Trade Show schedule will be as follows:

  • 9/12 – 9/13: Orlando, FL (Orange County Convention Center)
  • 10/3 – 10/4: Schaumburg , IL (Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center)
  • 10/10 – 10/11: Edison, NJ (New Jersey Exhibition & Convention Center)
  • 11/7 – 11/8: Dallas, TX (Hyatt Regency Dallas)

You can learn more about our Dallas show and register for each event here.

While the pandemic has created a lot of uncertainty in our country, we are seeing many of your studios reopen their doors. We don’t want you to do it alone. If we’ve learned anything over the last few months, it’s that we are truly #InThisTogether.

UDMA is here to help you rebuild your studio into a more magnificent version of itself. To that end, our trade shows will be filled with every resource you will need to get your studio–not only back on track–but beyond. Our time spent in quarantine was not wasted. We will come out of all the struggles as stronger people, with a true appreciation for our dancers and the essential beauty we provide the world.

Regarding Safety:

In order to make sure our trade shows can continue without issue or concern, we are developing a safety plan. This plan will ensure that we take the proper steps to mitigate risk, prepare for and respond to any suspected issues that might arise before or during our events. This will include taking proactive steps to make sure that the spread of germs, in general, is significantly minimized. Coronavirus aside, we always want to focus on our attendees being happy and healthy.

We will provide more details on these specific steps as we get closer to our events.

We know that the information in the media can be scary, especially when you are planning a trip. We can assure you that we are actively engaged in putting the necessary steps into place to promote a safe event and remain vigilant in safeguarding your well-being.
